Betsy's Story
Born in Swedish Hospital. Had a summer house in Kingston which was magic . . . 95% of my cherished memories come from Kingston. Lived the full year of 59-60 in Kingston and went to school at North Kitsap in Poulsbo where I met more and better friends than I had met my whole life in Seattle. It was the best year of my life. Lived in Laurelhurst then Montlake then Laurelhurst then Lake City then went to WW College in Bellingham then went to The Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts in Pasadena CA, then got married and lived on a Houseboat in Lake Union (end moorage!), then Hawaii (for two weeks - didn't work out), then Bellingham, then got divorced and lived on Bainbridge Island, then on Queen Anne, then in Spokane for 4 looooonnnnggg years, then various Seattle locations.
Met my current husband, Kojo, in March 2010 when he moved into a rental house I lived in. We married the following Valentine's Day. Kojo is the most wonderful man. He has walked with God since he was in the womb, he is non-judgmental, he loves everyone, he shares and helps whenever an opportunity arises for him to do so . . . he models his life on the life of Jesus. ife, my everything. We live in Gay's (my sister's) mother-in-law apartment and we are a mutual admiration society - Gay and Kojo bonded the first time they met, which was Christmas Eve 2010. After 10-11 hard years, I had been worn down and, tho' not in a major depression, hadn't enjoyed life because of job & disability misfortune. Kojo has brought the joy back into my life. I love and admire him SO MUCH!! Thank you Kojo.
Kojo has three children, John, Magdalen and Luther who are all going to school in Ghana. We hope they will come to live in Seattle as they graduate from college. Kojo's sister lives here too, right close to us in the Northgate area.
I have two quarters of ITT Tech Graphic Design under my belt, with an A GPA - Dean's List, Highest Honors . . . (brag, brag . . .) Had to take time off for hand surgery. Due to some weird circumstances, had to have that surgery THREE times! Was signed up to start school again in September, but it looks like it will be a few months beyond that before I can start.
AND, lastly, Kojo and I have two cats, Godfrey and Sprite. Of course they are the funniest, smartest, most loving kitties in the land. Don't know what I'd do without them!
